Ger Leegwater, 1945, brengt zijn fantasie tot leven, van verschillende materialen maakt hij bijzondere bouwwerken en beelden . De Italiaanse architecten Bernini en Borromini uit de barokperiode hebben Ger geïnspireerd om zelf te gaan bouwen. Ook de invloed van de Russische- Italiaanse architect Rastrelli, ontwerper van Het Winterpaleis is terug te zien in de bouwwerken van het Nederlands Kremlin.
Door zijn ervaring als metaalbewerker is Ger in staat de uien, die op de bouwwerken staan te construeren, deze uien hebben allemaal verschillende vormen. Een grote uitdaging voor Ger is het maken van mallen voor de ornamenten, het liefst maakt hij de mal zo ingewikkeld mogelijk, deze mallen zijn vaak kunstwerkjes op zich.
Een aantal jaren terug is Ger gestart met het maken van beelden, de inspiratie zijn de verhalen uit de mythologie.
Van platen metaal worden door middel van walsen, lassen, knippen en kloppen de beelden gemaakt
De Neptunus fontein is een project, waar alle ervaringen en vaardigheden, die Ger in 25 jaar heeft opgedaan, samen komen. In het midden staat een obelisk, omringt door verschillende mythologische figuren.

Ger Leegwater, 1945, brings his fantasy to life, making special buildings and sculptures from various materials. The Italian architects Bernini and Borromini from the Baroque period have inspired Ger to start building himself. Due to his experience as a metal worker, Ger is able to construct the onions that are on the buildings, these onions all have different shapes. A big challenge for Ger is making molds for the ornaments, he prefers to make the mold as complicated as possible, these molds are often works of art in themselves.
A few years ago Ger started making sculptures, the inspiration are the stories from mythology.
The images are made from metal sheets by means of rolling, welding, cutting and knocking
The Neptune fountain is a project where all the experiences and skills that Ger has gained in 25 years come together. In the center is an obelisk surrounded by various mythological figures.
