Mother Teresa was born in Skopje, North Macedonia. Therefore there are several statues of her to be found here. Additionally, the city has several metal plaques, that each show a picture of her, a quotation and her life data in two languages. At this house two of these plaques were attached to the wall. The first says:

"Poverty was not created by God.
It was you and I who caused it,
as we did not know how to share."
- Mother Teresa -

Mother Teresa, Skopje 1910 - Calcutta 1997

The second one says:

"If you can not feed a hundred people,
then feed at least one"
- Mother Teresa -

Mother Teresa, Skopje 1910 - Calcutta 1997

These two quotes can be found on everydaypower.com/quotes-by-mother-teresa/ (#24 and #96) and other sources.

There are more metal plaques on many houses and it's not clear, if the houses have a special meaning in Mother Teresas life, but when you walk through this city, you are always reminded of the famous daughter of this city.
