The Moosomin Armoury was built in 1912 to house militia units.

The 16th Light Horse were first to call the armoury home. During the First World War the 10th Canadian Mounted Rifles, 217th Infantry Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force and 101 Battery, Canadian Field Artillery recruited here. After the first World War, the Assiniboia Regiment was based here for a short period before amalgamation with the South Saskatchewan regiment.

The facility was declared surplus and sold off to local interests. The building currently serves as a banquet, reception and meeting centre. It is administered by the Moosomin Armoury non-profit organization.
