the Air Force radar was mounted in 1953 right next to a present Coastal Surveillance Radar. the scopes were installed in a Navy bunker situated in the hill.
In October 1955 GCI station Skydstrup opened and the radar on Fakkebjerg was taken down and relocated to Skrydstrup.
The Air Force kept one scope which received signals from the Navy Coastal Surveillance Radar.
In 1972 the last equipment was taken down.
Today you can see concrete foundations where the radar was mounted. The bunker can also be seen here.
