In het midden van het Streekbos is een recreatieplas met aan de noordrand een zandstrand. In het nabijgelegen paviljoen van het Streekbos is het café/restaurant IJgenweis gelegen. Het strand beschikt ook over toiletten en douches. Ten noorden van het zandstrand is een ligweide.
In the middle of the Streekbos is a recreational lake with a sandy beach on the northern edge. The IJgenweis café / restaurant is located in the nearby pavilion of the Streekbos. The beach also has toilets and showers. There is a sunbathing lawn to the north of the sandy beach.
