Het Streekbos is 73 hectare groot. Het terrein bestaat uit bos, weiden en water. Er zijn (half)verharde fiets- en wandelpaden, een zandstrand en een grote zwemplas. U kunt vissen en varen in het gebied.
In het Klimpark zijn voor durfals verschillende routes met diverse moeilijkheidsgraden op hoogtes van vijf tot dertien meter. Heerlijk wandelen of fietsen door het bosgebied, zonnebaden op het strand, roeien op het water of spelen in de speeltuin; in het Streekbos kan het allemaal. Vanuit het Streekbos Paviljoen, waar ook Volkssterrenwacht Orion, restaurant IJgenweis en IVN West-Friesland zijn gevestigd, wordt van alles georganiseerd. Ook vaartochten en diverse arrangementen voor kleine en grote groepen zijn mogelijk. Voor mountainbikers is een apart parcours aangelegd aan de noordkant van het Streekbos.

The Streekbos covers 73 hectares. The terrain consists of forest, meadows and water. There are (semi) paved cycling and walking paths, a sandy beach and a large swimming lake. You can fish and sail in the area.
In the climbing park there are various routes for daredevils with various degrees of difficulty at heights of five to thirteen meters. Enjoy walking or cycling through the forest area, sunbathing on the beach, rowing on the water or playing in the playground; it is all possible in the Streekbos. Everything is organized from the Streekbos Pavilion, where the Volkssterrenwacht Orion, restaurant IJgenweis and IVN West-Friesland are also located. Boat trips and various arrangements for small and large groups are also possible. A separate trail has been created for mountain bikers on the north side of the Streekbos.
