In het Drost-IJsermanparkpark achter het voormalige gemeentehuis van Moordrecht bevind zich het 'Muurtje van Vink '. Het Muurtje van Vink is ontworpen door metselaars in opleiding bij Bouwbedrijf Vink en Zonen B.V.
De plaquette op het Muurtje van Vink sierde vroeger de Nutskleuterschool aan de Sluislaan. Deze school was in 1957 opgericht door de Maatschappij tot Nut van ’t Algemeen. Deze maatschappij is een landelijke vereniging met plaatselijke afdelingen en werd opgericht in 1784 met als doel: het welzijn, in de ruimste zin, van individu en gemeenschap te bevorderen. De vereniging streeft naar individuele en maatschappelijke ontplooiing met een hoog cultureel gehalte. Nog steeds houdt de vereniging zich bezig met zaken die het algemeen belang dienen, zoals onderwijs, ontwikkeling en maatschappelijke discussie. De kleuterschool aan de Sluislaan was daar een voorbeeld van.
Het schoolgebouw was gesierd met een plaquette van Jan Nieuwenhuyzen (1724-1806), de oprichter van de Maatschappij tot Nut van ’t Algemeen. De maker van de plaquette is onbekend. Na de sloop van de school schonk de gemeente het kunstwerk aan de Historische Vereniging Moordrecht.

The 'Muurtje van Vink' (Wall of Vink) is located in the Drost-IJsermanparkpark behind the former town hall of Moordrecht. The wall was designed by masons in training at Bouwbedrijf Vink en Zonen B.V.
The plaque on the wall used to decorate the Utility Kindergarten on Sluislaan. This school was founded in 1957 by the Maatschappij tot Nut van 't Algemeen. This society is a national association with local branches and was founded in 1784 with the aim of promoting the well-being, in the broadest sense, of the individual and community.
