NL: Het bronzen Mariabeeld dat 285 cm hoog is werd geplaatst op een 9 meter hoge zuil van Vaurionsteen die op een vierkant voetstuk rust.
Op de zuil staat de tekst “Civitas Trajectum, Civitas Mariana” wat “Stad van Tricht, Stad van Maria” betekent. Op elk hoekpunt van dit voetstuk staan vier bronzen beelden van de Maastrichtse bisschoppen H.H. Servatius, Lambertus, Monulphus en Hubertus. In de volksmond wordt het "de kaarttafel" genoemd.
Het monument is gemaakt door kunstenaar Albert T. Termote en is ongeveer 13 meter hoog, gemeten vanaf de grond.
EN: The bronze statue of the Virgin Mary, which is 9 feet high, was placed on a 30 feet high Vaurion stone column resting on a square pedestal.
On the column is the text “Civitas Trajectum, Civitas Mariana” which means “City of Tricht, City of Maria”. At each corner of this pedestal are four bronze statues of the Maastricht bishops H.H. Servatius, Lambert, Monulphus and Hubertus. It is popularly called "the card table".
The monument was created by artist Albert T. Termote and is approximately 43 feet high, measured from the ground.
