The Galician Minerals Museum is located in a privileged place, the council of O Porriño, where one of the world's largest deposits of a single variety of granite can be found: the Rosa Porriño, as well as many of the most important companies natural stone makers.
Minergal is located in the facilities of the Granite Technology Center. The Exhibition Hall, located on the ground floor of the administrative building, exhibits a permanent collection of more than 500 specimens of minerals and rocks from all over the world, with a high representation of Galician specimens on about 130m2.
