In the Late 1800's "TREAT YOURSELF TO THE BEST" was being emblazoned as a tobacco advertising slogan on barns all across WV and the eastern US. Over a century later a few of those barn-billboards were converted to anti-tobacco messaging. This barn located near Harmon WV is the first to feature both an anti-smoking message and a breast cancer awareness message.
The project was spearheaded by The Randolph County Family Resource Network. Unveiled in October of 2012, the project took only a week for the team to complete.
Construction: Wood

Is this a 'working' barn?: Hay Barn (used to store hay or grains)

Other:
This barn is also used for animals and equipment.

Distinctive Features: Barn Art (tell us about it below)

Other Distinctive Features:
Part art, part public service announcement, in a shift from tobacco advertising this barn encourages travelers to quit smoking. One side is styled after old time MailPouch barn ads, including a rewritten slogan of "TREAT YOURSELF TO HEALTH". The end of the barn that faces the highway is pink with a pink breast cancer awareness ribbon and the message "Wish, Hope, Love, Cure, Awareness"
