Every year, on a day in July, the towns of Port Byron, IL and Le Claire, IA stretch a large rope across the Mississippi River and play Tug-O-War. The Tugfest brings in a crowd of well wishers to both towns from all over the area. Several teams play on each side. Through a process of elimination one team will be declared the winner. Will it be Le Claire, or will it be Port Byron.
