Der Planetenweg Göttingen ist ein Model unseres Sonnensystems im Maßstab von 1:2.000.000.000 (ein Meter im Model entsprechen also 1.000.000 Kilometer).
Entlang des Weges, der in er Nähe des Bahnhofs beginnt und sich durch die ganze Innenstadt bis hinauf zum Bismarckturm zieht, sind in maßstäblicher Entfernung für jeden Planeten eine Bronzestele mit Informationen zum jeweiligen Objekt aufgestellt. Der Planet selber ist ebenfalls maßstäblich dargestellt - so dass manche Planeten nur noch als winzige Kügelchen zu sehen sind.

Hier ist der Saturn zu sehen. Viele kleine Eis- und Staubteilchen bis hin zu einige Meter großen Felsbrocken, die den Saturn umkreisen, bilden die charakteristischen Ringe des Saturns.

The Göttingen Planet Path is a model of our solar system on a scale of 1: 2,000,000,000 (one meter in the model corresponds to 1,000,000 kilometers).
Along the path, which begins near the train station and runs through the whole city center up to the Bismarck Tower, a bronze stele with information on the respective object is set up for each planet at a true-to-scale distance. The planet itself is also shown to scale - so that some planets can only be seen as tiny spheres.

Here you can see Saturn. Many small ice and dust particles up to a few meters large boulders that circle Saturn form the characteristic rings of Saturn.
