The sign for the Rollins RV & Restaurant has two elements that make it unique. The style is very much folk art from the 1950s, using a font that approximates hand drawn letters. As the business is both an RV park as well as a restaurant, the business sign shows a car (late 1940s or early 1950s style) pulling a classic travel trailer, parked underneath a billboard showing a modern, 10 digit telephone number. As the business is located on a forested hillside across the highway from Flathead Lake, the sign shows the pine trees surrounding the "billboard" and notes that the business has boat slips available for rent.
The business is seasonal, open only during the late spring to early fall tourist season on Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. They advertise via flag banners shakes, burgers, and other similar meals, and the daily special on the day we visited was a turkey sandwich at $12.00--from a local perspective a rather "tourist-oriented" price. We did observe several customers enjoying milkshakes at the outdoor tables provided.
