In 1866 the first Silleiro Lighthouse was inaugurated, located in Cabo Silleiro, at sea level. The first fuel he used was a vegetable oil wick lamp, and in 1909 he switched to an oil lamp. In August 1924 the new building that would house the lighthouse at 85 m was inaugurated. at the top of the mountain, as we see it today. This building has a rectangular floor plan and on its west facade is the lighthouse tower, which has had a 3,000-watt lamp since 1960. That you can see 40 miles if the weather is clear. In addition to the siren, it has an electric emitter with a 200-mile range. Today it is one of the main points of orientation of the ships that cross the waters. The lighthouse, owned by the Vigo Port Authority, is not open to visitors but it is worth visiting and visiting its surroundings.

En 1866 se inauguró el primer Faro Silleiro, situado en el Cabo Silleiro, al nivel del mar. El primer combustible que utilizó fue una lámpara de mecha de aceite vegetal y en 1909 pasó a funcionar con una lámpara de petróleo. En agosto de 1924 se inauguró el nuevo edificio que albergaría el faro a 85 m. en lo alto de la montaña, tal y como lo vemos en la actualidad. Este edificio tiene planta rectangular y en su fachada oeste está la torre del faro, que desde 1960 tiene una lámpara de 3.000 w. Que se puede ver a 40 millas si el tiempo está despejado. Además de la sirena tiene un emisor eléctrico de 200 millas de alcance. Hoy es uno de los puntos principales de orientación de los navíos que surcan las aguas.
El faro, propiedad de la Autoridad Portuaria de Vigo, no es visitable pero merece la pena acercarse y visitar su entorno.
