Mr. and Mrs. Hikenutty's place on the hill - Evanston, Wyoming

Mr. Hikenutty proposed here to Mrs. Hikenutty on New Year's Eve of 1991. The hill is called Burnt Hill and is located in the Southeast portion of the city.

On a trip to visit Mr. Hikenutty's parents over the holidays, Mr. Hikenutty proposed to Mrs. Hikenutty up on this hillside overlooking the city of Evanston, Wyoming. The couple now resides in the Seattle/Tacoma area with Hikenutty junior who is not so nutty about hiking, but regularly takes forced marches with the couple.
When we went to visit the spot, we discovered that the access road had been blocked and we couldn't get to the top. So we waymarked a spot that has a good view of the hill. As you can see by the horrid picture, the wind was blowing in that typical Wyoming way and the sun shining in our eyes, and we just wanted to get the heck out of there. So much for romance. ;)
