Laguna Hedionda means someting like "hideous small lake". A strange name for such a lovely surface of water.
It's a usual stop in the touristic tours in the area and there is a support area where meals are served by the guides. The community of flamingos here is specially picturesque. There is a nearby smaller lake, the Laguna Charcota.
