"According to specialists, this magnificent natural curiosity is a geological phenomenon which can be explained as follows: the water dominating the white chalky background operates a chromatic selection of sunlight. Part of the light spectrum is absorbed by the backgrounds, and only blue light is retained by the upper liquid layers.

Other sources of this type exist on the territory of the Somme (Eaucourt-sur-Somme, Fréchencourt, etc.) and in certain regions in France having the same geological characteristics.

Many tales and. legends are associated with this natural curiosity.

This site was enhanced in the early 2000s through the construction of pontoons located around the "blue springs" and by the construction of a kiosk a few steps from them. "

Please post an original picture of the springs no GPS necessary along with your observations of the spring. What wildlife you saw if any and the condition of the springs. Water level was high, low. The area was clean, trashy ect. Any other knowledge or experiences you have had with this paticular spring that would help document it's history.
