first brewery on the island of Vlieland.
It is an attraction with brand new kettles and a permanent exhibition about the relationship between the island and beer. In the auditorium on the first floor is a real chapel, named after Saint Nicholas, known on Vlieland. It is no coincidence that the opening of Vlieland Brewery is on December 6.

Vlieland beer can be tasted here in various flavors: Duin Blond, Island Ale, Wad Donker and Storm Stout. Flavorers from Vlieland soil such as sea buckthorn, seaweed and cranberries are added to the pure dune water - the brewery has its own source. Other raw materials for the beer such as barley, hops and yeast come from the shore for lack of agriculture on the island.

By the well drilling, brewer Bojan Bajic accidentally found an ancient glass shard with the image of Lady Fortuna. According to the entrepreneur, the reference to the Roman goddess of fate could not be a coincidence. This is how he found the name of the beer at the source: Fortuna Vlieland.
