We found this River gage while taking some back roads to a holiday get together. The River Gage structure appears to be at least 10 ft. above the water level but there is some unseen underground structure that has the working parts. While looking at the web site for this gage, I see that there was a large jump in water flow and now a gradual drop. That must have been from the rain and the snow melt in the past week. A wide spot in the road for parking can be found at the SE corner of the nearby bridge.
RIVER GAUGE INFORMATION:
A sharp rise in water flow followed by a slow drop clearly indicates the rains that we received a few days ago.
