C’est un symbole visible de Liège dont beaucoup ont souvent oublié l’origine et le sens. Le Mémorial Interallié fut imaginé dans les années 20 pour saluer la mémoire des soldats tombés lors de la Grande Guerre. Sans minimiser son aspect mémoriel, c’est avant tout le rôle de repère qui marque les liégeois.
Aujourd'hui, avec le phare juché en son sommet, ce site joue plus que jamais ce rôle, envoyant son faisceau par de-là la cité ardente !

It is a visible symbol of Liège, many of which have often forgotten its origin and meaning.
