February 14, 2019 was the grand opening of this new tradition for Wichita State University students: The Shocker Pod Love Locks. The steel pods are 8' diameter at the ground, and 16' feet tall. They are designed for gatherings of students, faculty, and the community.
The first pod was dedicated on 2-14-2019 as a Love Lock Pod, a new tradition for the Shocker community. It is on the east side of the pond.
A sign posted next to the Love Lock Pod reads:

Share your #ShockerLove
1. Get your lock. Bring one of your own or purchase one in the Shocker Store. Tip: Add engraving to your lock at the Rhatigan Student Center.
2. Secure it to the pod.
3. Toss the key in the water.
