Geodetic Survey of Canada 68U509 - Canadian Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This is a weathered bronze survey monument installed into the vertical concrete support of an informational sign discussing the nearby Huron Road Bridge. It is approximately 40cm above ground level. The informational sign (and the monument) is located approximately 15m SE of the SE corner of the bridge. The sign is adjacent to a paved walking path.

It is obvious that this benchmark has been moved from its original placement. The station report notes:
Concrete bridge, south side of huron road, 0.3 km west from wilson avenue, tablet in south face of southwest abutment, 46 cm below curb of bridge, 3.4 m east from west end of bridge abutment. Reported destroyed 2012-11-26.
