De gemeente Lopik is in 1960 vriendschapsbanden aangegaan met Grebenstein in Duitsland, Lezoux in Frankrijk en Sarsina in Italië. De steden hebben onderling ook vriendschapsbanden, dus dit is een vrij uniek 'klavertje vier'in Europa. De stichting Jumelage onderhoudt de vriendschapsbanden en organiseert regelmatig activiteiten. Het monument op de rotonde is opgericht door de stichting. De rode pijlen geven de afstand naar de verschillende steden aan vanaf Lopik.

The municipality of Lopik formed friendships in 1960 with Grebenstein in Germany, Lezoux in France and Sarsina in Italy. The cities also have ties of friendship with each other, so this is a rather unique 'four-leaf clover' in Europe. The Jumelage foundation maintains the bonds of friendship and regularly organizes activities. The monument on the roundabout was erected by the foundation. The red arrows indicate the distance to the different cities from Lopik.
