Depicted timbered Evangelical Church in Rožnov pod Radhoštem is one of the few church buildings in the Czech Republic built during the harsh communist repression against churches - in the 1950s. The church, which was designed by architect Bohumil Bareš with a sense of the character and traditions of Wallachia, was declared an immovable cultural monument of the Czech Republic in 1994.

The church is one of two actively used churches of the Parish congregation of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren (Farní sbor Ceskobratrské církve evangelické) in Strítež nad Becvou and Rožnov pod Radhoštem.

The construction of a church or prayer house for Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren (ECCB) in Rožnov has been considered since 1928, when land was purchased for future construction. In the following years, a number of suggestions were made for what the church should look like. Finally, in 1941, the ECCB Synod Council in Prague approved the design of the architect Miloslav Tejc. However, the construction did not begin thanks to a ban, which was issued on all church buildings in the territory of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia (1939-1945).

New construction plans were created by architect Bohumil Bareš in 1949. In the same year, however, so-called church laws were issued, which made it significantly more difficult to decide on the construction. In addition to the consent of church leaders, the construction required the consent of the Municipal and District National Committee, the municipal organization of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia and the Action Committee of the National Front. After many modifications to the original plans, the construction of a wooden timbered church was finally allowed in April 1952. The church was consecrated by the Synod Senior Viktor Hájek on July 5, 1953.

The church is a timbered structure with a rectangular floor plan built on a foundation of sandstone blocks. The saddle roof with a slender pyramid on the ridge is covered with shingles. The vestibule is separated from the nave by a glass wall in which there is a four-winged entrance door. The interior of the church, with a wooden ceiling with an admitted truss construction, is illuminated by three-part side windows and a strip of dormer windows in the roof.
