These are the ruins of one of the two missions existent in the area. The Mission of La Santísima Trinidad de Paraná is the main one and the most accessible. It's easy to get there by bus, from Encarnacion.
The missions were created in the early 17th Century and were active for about 150 years.
The site is not that impressive nor is it big. It's easily explored and doesn't take long.
