Joslyn Art Museum has a collection of over 11,000 items from all over the world, from antiquity to the present, with a concentration on 19th and 20th century European and American art. Joslyn is renowned for its collection of art of the American West, and known worldwide for its collection of Swiss artist Karl Bodmer's watercolors and prints documenting his 1832-34 journey to the Missouri River frontier.
