Het Zuiderpark ligt tussen Lopik-dorp en de Lekdijk bij Jaarsveld. Het heeft een vijver, bosplantsoen en gazon. Het bronzen beeld 'Eend met eieren' staat aan de rand van de vijver in het Zuiderpark in Lopik. Het kunstwerk was oorspronkelijk bedoeld als 'speelbeest waar (kleine) mensen allerlei dingen mee zouden kunnen doen'. Het bronzen beeld van de Schoonhovense kunstenaar Jan van Ipenburg stond dan ook in eerste instantie midden in de wijk Vogelenzang in Lopik-dorp. Daar werd het in aanwezigheid van tientallen feestelijk uitgedoste kleuters en hun moeders op 3 maart 1980 onthuld door de toenmalige burgemeester van Lopik, de heer Blanken. De aanwezige kinderen kregen van de burgervader instructies hoe er mee om te gaan zonder het dier al te zeer te beschadigen; het dier regelmatig aaien leek hem het beste. Ruim acht jaar later werd de eend met de drie eieren verplaatst naar haar huidige standplaats aan de rand van de vijver in het Zuiderpark in Lopik. Daar verloor het al snel de oorspronkelijke functie van speelbeest.
Het Zuiderpark is vanaf de parallelweg van de M.A. Reinaldaweg te bereiken.

The Zuiderpark is located between Lopik village and the Lekdijk near Jaarsveld. It has a pond, woodland plants and lawn. The bronze sculpture 'Duck with eggs' stands on the edge of the pond in the Zuiderpark in Lopik. The artwork was originally intended as a 'play animal with which (small) people could do all kinds of things'. The bronze statue of the Schoonhoven artist Jan van Ipenburg was therefore initially located in the middle of the Vogelenzang district in Lopik village. There it was unveiled on March 3, 1980 in the presence of dozens of festively dressed toddlers and their mothers by the then mayor of Lopik, Mr. Blanken. The children present were instructed by the citizen's father how to deal with it without damaging the animal too much; stroking the animal regularly seemed best to him. More than eight years later, the duck with the three eggs was moved to its current location on the edge of the pond in the Zuiderpark in Lopik. There it quickly lost the original function of play animal.
The Zuiderpark is from the parallel road of the M.A. Reach Reinaldaweg.
