I came to town today and stopped by this Blessing Box to leave a bag of cat food and a few snack cakes and it was stocked with more toys and goodwill items than food. There were a few cans of soup and some corn, beans, mac and cheese. There were three cases of home canned taters and beans dated 2015 left in front of the Blessing Box. Looks like memaw died and someone cleaned out her cellar. The beans looked pretty good too, and the canning jars are reusable.
This Blessing Box is located in the corner of the parking lot of the First Presbyterian Church in Gate City next to the Community Garden.
I attempted online research and all I could find was a local geocacher's post on Facebook about it.
