Scouting Olivier van Noort II is een Waterscoutinggroep gevestigd in de Zilverstad Schoonhoven. Met 6 leeftijdsgroepen (van 5 tot 23 jaar) zijn we met kinderen en jongeren actief in, om en op het water. We beschikken over solide stalen vletten, ideaal om te leren zeilen en het Scoutingspel te beoefenen. Bijgestaan door onze sterke sleepboot de Hope zijn deze vletten de meeste zaterdag op de Lek te vinden. Voor de jongere leden beschikken we over kano’s en juniorvletten, waarmee ze regelmatig de Grote Gracht, Botersloot en Vlist onveilig maken.
Bij ons leer je roeien en zeilen, maar we doen ook allerlei andere outdoor activiteiten, zoals pionieren en vuur maken. Scouting Olivier van Noort II heeft ruim 110 leden uit onder andere Schoonhoven, Bergambacht, Ammerstol, Cabauw, Groot-Ammers, Nieuwpoort en Langerak. De groep is genoemd naar Olivier van Noort, de eerste Nederlander die om de wereld zeilde.

Scouting Olivier van Noort II is a Waterscouting group based in the silvercity Schoonhoven. With 6 age groups (from 5 to 23 years) we are active in, around and on the water with children and young people. We have solid steel hulls, ideal for learning to sail and practice the Scouting game. Assisted by our strong tugboat the Hope, these skates can be found on the Lek most Saturday. For the younger members we have canoes and junior skates, with which they regularly make the Grote Gracht, Botersloot and Vlist unsafe.
With us you learn to row and sail, but we also do all kinds of other outdoor activities, such as pioneering and making a fire. Scouting Olivier van Noort II has over 110 members from Schoonhoven, Bergambacht, Ammerstol, Cabauw, Groot-Ammers, Nieuwpoort and Langerak, among others. The group is named after Olivier van Noort, the first Dutchman to circumnavigate the globe.
