"In 2010, on the occasion of its 150th anniversary, the Faculty of Agronomics of Gembloux hosts a unique project by the artist Didier Mahieu. Around a hundred original works are set up on 16 sites on the campus and monumental installations sublimate the former abbey.

Thus, at one stage of the Scaphandre exhibition, 25,000 tons of sand were dumped in the abbey courtyard to create a sea of sand and dunes. The mast of an old liner emerges from it, an allusion to the Aral Sea and the consequences of human activities on the environment. This place has been restored in the meantime.

Further on in the park, 48 marine anchors weigh down trees to symbolize the rising waters. Deforestation was also staged, as was destruction, the human impact on nature ."
