History of Fargo Branch

The Fargo Branch was originally established during the summer of 1910. It was located on Broadway, between Front Street and N. P. Avenue [Northern Pacific], Fargo, This was also in a rented building. Automobiles were assembled at this location and it also operated as a Sales and Service Branch, both retail and wholesale.
The present Branch building at 509 Broadway was erected during the latter part of 1914 and completed late August 1915.

1915 July 23, 1915 Designated “Ford Day” by the City of Fargo
1916 Jan. 12, 1916 Formal opening which included retail and wholesale distribution of automobiles and parts along with a service repair department
1933 Mar. 5, 1933 Branch Commenced operating as a sales office
1935 Feb. 11 1935 Branch re-opened as a sales and service branch
1948 Renamed Fargo Parts Depot and no longer included a sales floor
1956 Mar. 8, 1956 Ford ceases operations in Fargo
1979 F.C. Hayer bought the building for use as Kaye’s Printing
1999 Forum Communications purchased Kaye’s Printing and the building
2004 Jan. 26, 2004 Sterling Development Group Two bought the building
2006-2009 Building was remodeled as a multi-tenant mixed use facility of retail, office and loft condos
