Huntington Harbour is a residential harbor with many multi million dollar homes and yachts. There is one gas dock and a boat yard in the harbor. There is no bait barge in the harbour, but you will find bait a short ride north to the Long Beach (Los Alamitos Bay) area.
Access to the ocean is through Anaheim Bay, a military amunition depot. There can be short disruptions of civilian traffic when naval ships are docking. You will recognize these times by the presence of a gunboat with a manned 50 caliber machine gun at the ready.
Santa Catalina Island is a short 30 mile trip to the southwest.
This area is patroled by the Orange County Sherrifs Department which has an office adjecent to the ramp.
Public restrooms are available - no showers.
