The brick part is the oldest preserved industrial building in Lahti, built between 1907 and 1908. Originally the building served as a Sulfate cellulose factory with the Lahti Steam Saw Company, owned by Captain August Fellman. The building, which has been expanded several times, has also housed a glass factory, wood flour, carpentry and wooden house factory.
Today, the premises serve as the main entrance to the Sibelius Hall, a new building next to an old factory. And also the old factory houses the rock club Finlandia-Klubi
