"The Star-Lite opened in 1949 with Bing Crosby in “Pennies From Heaven”. This single-screen drive-in could accomodate about 600 cars. From the 1970’s, until the time it closed, in 1981, the Star-Lite Drive-In was under the same ownership as the Moon-Lite Drive-In in Moorhead (which was closed seven years later). The drive-in was razed after closing to make way for a strip mall." From (visit link)

The Star-Lite closed in 1981 and became the parking lot for a new K-Mart. The K-Mart lasted a couple of decades before closing and reopening as a grocery store. The building now housed the Fargo location of North Dakota State College of Science.
