"The Saint-Servais church was founded, according to tradition, in the 10th century by Bishop Ricaire. It was replaced in the 13th century by a Gothic building which partially collapsed. In 1585, it was initiative of parish priest Jean Curtius that a third church is erected from the existing vestiges.
Restored from 1883 to 1891 and in 1933, the church was destroyed in 1981 by a fire. The roofs, furniture and interior decorations of the naves and the choir were largely damaged and it was not until 1985, after a partial restoration, that the church was reassigned to worship.
The building consists of three naves of three spans which open onto a choir, also of three spans, ending in a three-sided apse. The north aisle is flanked to the east by a square section tower of hardened limestone and coalstone rubble, reinforced by corner chains. Of Romanesque origin and partly rebuilt in 1585, this tower is surmounted by a slate pavilion roof topped with a pinnacle capped with an arrow.
Towards the Fond Saint-Servais, the south aisle is raised on a base pierced by a door with a right lintel. The brick masonry is streaked with flat tufa bands and illuminated by third-point bays with Gothic fillings. Between the first and second spans, the coat of arms of Bishop Ricaire overhangs a cross and a Gothic niche housing a statue of Saint Servais. "

" L’église Saint-Servais a été fondée, selon la tradition, au Xe siècle par l’évêque Ricaire. Elle est remplacée au XIIIe siècle par un édifice de style gothique qui s’effondrera partiellement. En 1585, c’est à l’initiative du curé Jean Curtius qu’une troisième église est érigée à partir des vestiges existants.
Restaurée de 1883 à 1891 et en 1933, l’église est ravagée en 1981 par un incendie. Les toitures, le mobilier et les décors intérieurs des nefs et du chœur sont largement endommagés et ce n’est qu’en 1985, après une restauration partielle, que l’église sera réaffectée au culte.
L’édifice se compose de trois nefs de trois travées qui s’ouvrent sur un chœur, également de trois travées, terminé par une abside à trois pans. Le bas-côté nord est flanqué à l’est d’une tour de section carrée en moellons de grès houiller et calcaire, renforcée par des chaînes d'angle. D’origine romane et en partie reconstruite en 1585, cette tour est surmontée d’une toiture en pavillon d’ardoises sommée d’un clocheton coiffé d’une flèche.
Vers le Fond Saint-Servais, le bas-côté sud est élevé sur un soubassement percé d’une porte à linteau droit. La maçonnerie en briques est striée de bandeaux plats en tuffeau et éclairée par des baies en tiers-point à remplage gothique. Entre la première et la deuxième travée, les armoiries de l’évêque Ricaire surplombent une croix et une niche de style gothique abritant une statue de saint Servais. "
