We talked to a lady about this sculpture. She said that there was a bit of a controversy about the sculpture, about how a lot of people thought that it wasn't very good and that they were upset to have to pay for it. I can't remember if she told us how much it cost.
After looking it up online, a see further that a lot of people wrote letters saying that they had a problem with the sculpture, even more so because the arena was originally supposed to be dedicated to those who have (given their lives?) defended their country.
Despite the controversy, the sculpture is there and payed for by the city.
