In the southeast corner of the bell tower approx. 3 m up we see "the devil's hat", a walled granite stone that is unmotivated in the building of the tower.
The legend tells that one night the priest was persecuted by the devil. The priest ran to the church and therefore came to safety. The devil became enraged and threw his hat after the priest.
The hat did not hit the priest but instead the bell tower. , where it is still stuck.

I klokketårnets sydøstre hjørne ca. 3 m oppe ser vi "djævlens hat", en indmuret granitsten, der umotiveret er indgået i
bygningen af tårnet.
Sagnet fortæller, at præsten en nat blev forfulgt af djævlen. Præsten løb til kirken og kom derfor i sikkerhed. Djævlen blev rasende og smed sin hat efter præsten.
Hatten ramte ikke præsten men i stedet klokketårnet. , hvor den stadig sidder fast.
