St. John's Cathedral is the tallest structure in Antigua and Barbuda. The Cathedral, after years of repair is now open to the public. Three stained glass windows are located high above and behind he altar. During the repair of the church they removed and sent to Germany for refurbishment. They have recently been reinstalled as the renovation of the church nears completion.

The window on the north side of the central window has the coat of arms of the Anglican Diocese of North Eastern Caribbean and Aruba surrounded by a complex ornate multicolor background. The coat of arms has a bishop's mitre above a shield which is subdivided horizontally. The upper part has a hat, key and shepherds crook. The lower part has a Latin cross with a serpent on the left and a dove on the right. The motto of the diocese is: Wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove.

The Anglican diocese of North East Caribbean and Aruba was formed in 1842 as the Diocese of Antigua and the Leeward Islands when the Anglican diocese of Barbados was sub-divided.
