Was driving from Atlantic City to Forget Me Not (GC7AE9) and the Atlantic County Library (WM2RF) and in the middle of a traffic circle is this lighthouse. Brigantine Lighthouse was constructed not as a navigational aid but as a sales aid for Island Development Real Estate Company in 1926. It was used as a police headquarters, museum and gift shop.
Today, the building is being used solely as a gateway to the city, standing in the middle of a traffic circle.
