This Bee Haven is located near the lake at New Germany State Park. There is a wildflower garden nearby as well. A sign tells a little more about the Bee Haven:

Bee Haven. The above structure, created by students from the Savage River Arts Summer Camp 2014 and sponsored by the Savage River Watershed Association, serves as a safe and secure nesting site for wild, solitary bees that pollinate our garden plants, ornamentals, and wildflowers. Research shows that while honeybees pollinate most of our crops, wild bees are responsible for pollinating the majority of all plants. Of the 3500 varieties of bees in the United States, 98% are wild bees.

Please observe the haven as it is - without altering or adding to it – from a distance of 2 feet or so as not to disrupt their nesting.
