Centenarian Fannye Mae Tanksley is laid to rest at the south side of Old Bardwell Cemetery. The cemetery is on the east side of Highway 51, on the south side of town. Fannye passed away on January 24, 2002.

She has a single marker next to a family marker "Tanksley."

The USA had 19 different Presidents during Fannye's lifetime. She lived thru numerous wars that the U.S. was involved in, and witnessed 5 states admitted to the Union. The U.S. hosted the Olympics 7 times during Fannye's life.
