In the center of the park is a sculpture entitled El Beso (The Kiss) by Peruvian artist Victor Delfín. It depicts two lovers united in a romantic embrace. It was inaugurated in Parque del Amor on Valentine's Day 1993. This is one of the most photographed sites in Lima.

Around the sculpture, you can enjoy long curved benches and walls decorated with multicolored mosaics and romantic phrases by Peruvian poets.

The park is supposedly inspired by Antoni Gaudí's Parc Guell in Barcelona. Since 2014 it was renamed Parque del Amor, Alberto Andrade Carmona, in honor of the late Lima mayor.
