"Enric Ruiz Geli recrée un îlot biodiversifié, "L’arbre empathique" est une sculpture de 12 mètres, mi métal, mi végétale, qui évoluera au coeur de la ville. L’intention est de créer un arbre hybride, où l’artificiel et le naturel permettent aux publics de découvrir et d’interagir avec la vie qui s’y installe, notamment les oiseaux, grâce à un système vidéo. Ce projet vise à ramener la nature en centre-ville. Les racines de l’arbre sont ancrées dans un sol aux multiples strates, accumulées au gré de l’histoire brestoise. L’arbre empathique se propose de réinventer la relation entre l’art, la technologie et la nature."

The intention is to create a hybrid tree, where the artificial and the natural allow audiences to discover and interact with the life that inhabits it, especially birds, through a video system. This project aims to bring nature back to the city centre. The tree's roots are anchored in a soil with multiple layers, accumulated according to the history of Brest. The empathic tree aims to reinvent the relationship between art, technology and nature."
