Saint John of Nepomuk (or John Nepomucene) [Czech: Jan Nepomucký; German: Johannes Nepomuk; Latin: Ioannes (or Ioannis) Nepomucenus (c. 1345 – March 20, 1393) is the saint of Bohemia (Czech Republic), who was drowned in the Vltava river at the behest of Wenceslaus, King of the Romans and King of Bohemia. Later accounts state that he was the confessor of the queen of Bohemia and he refused to divulge the secrets of the confessional. On the basis of this account, John of Nepomuk is considered the first martyr of the Seal of the Confessional, a patron against calumnies and, because of the manner of his death, a protector from floods and drowning.

Polychromovaná, barokní pískovcová socha sv. Jana Nepomuckého v tradicním ikonografickém schématu, z dílny sochare Sebalda Kapplera, datovaná chronogramem na soklu do roku 1744. Socha v parcíku u hlavní komunikace v centru obce.
Božanovský pískovec. Na ctvercové základne na mohutném soklu obdélného purodysu osazen hranolový podstavec, na nemž stojí socha sv. Jana Nepomuckého v tradicním kanovnickém šatu. Strední cást celní strany podstavce vcetne soklu konkávne vystupuje, celý podstavec se smerem vzhuru zúžuje. Na celní strane podstavce je umístena kartuše rámovaná mušlovým a rokajovým dekorem. V kartuši petirádkový nápis s chronogramem: IOANNES WELFFINIS / EST NOMEN EIVS / ITA FERE SVNT VERBA / E PAGINIS DIVI / LVCAE. Kapitály AE v posledním slove ligaturní. Na podstavci patrné zbytky polychromie. Mírne esovite prohnutá socha sv. Jana Nepomuckého je zachycena v kontrapostu na jednoduché patce, levou nohu má podloženou stupínkem. V rukou drží diagonálne pred telem kríž s korpusem Krista, pod ním pridržuje palmovou ratolest. Hlava je mírne sklonena a pohled je smerován ke kríži. Kolem hlavy zlacená hvezdná aureola.
