Auf dem Hauptplatz von Mautern in der Steiermark steht eine Mariensäule auf einem vierseitigen, zweistufigen Podest. Auf einer Säule mit korinthischem Kapitell steht die Figur der Maria mit dem Kinde. Maria trägt eine goldene Krone und einen goldenen Sternenkranz am Kopf und ein goldenes Zepter in der linken Hand. Das Kind trägt ebenfalls eine goldene Krone und einen goldenen Reichsapfel.
Die vordere Seite des Podests enthält ein Chronogramm:

Das Chronogramm verweist auf das Jahr 1693, in dem die Säule zum Dank für die überstandene Pest errichtet wurde.

On the Hauptplatz (main square) of Mautern in Styria, a Mariensäule stands on a four-sided, two-stage pedestal. On a column with a Corinthian capital stands the figure of Mary with the Child. Mary wears a golden crown and a golden wreath of stars on her head and a golden sceptre in her left hand. The child also wears a golden crown and a golden orb.
