The Red Cedar is an important tree in the history of Australia. Affectionately known by the Australain settlers as ‘Red Gold’, this tree was the pulling motivational factor that caused the settlement of much of the coastal and hinterland areas of the country.
In the teahouse you can see a huge tree growth ring. The age of the tree is unknown but several hundreds of years old. Also the date, the tree was cut is unknown.
