(ENG) The small turntable at Dublin Connolly station has still survived. It had been used to turn steam locomotives. It has a small size that for example the diminutive Dublin & South Eastern Railway 2-6-0 No. 461 could be turned.
In the background you can still see the original water tower from 1880 with brick arches and Limestone with its riveted iron tank.
[GER] Die kleine Drehscheibe am Bahnhof Dublin Connolly hat sich noch erhalten. Sie wurde zum Umsetzen von Dampflokomotiven verwendet. Sie ist klein, so dass beispielsweise die winzige Dublin & South Eastern Railway 2-6-0 No. 461 gedreht werden konnte.
Im Hintergrund kann man noch den Original Wasserturm von 1880 mit Bögen aus Ziegel und Kalkstein mit seinem genieteten Eisentank erkennen.
