The shooting club Steinhude was founded in 1871 by 15 inhabitants.
On the respective shooting ranges (10, 25 or 50 metres) the disciplines air rifle, air pistol, small bore rifle, lever action rifle and all pistol disciplines up to large bore can be fired. All disciplines are shot freehand. In the disciplines air rifle and small bore rifle, additional standing or sitting shot is fired.
