"La ville de Nevers s’apprête à planter le premier eTree. Un arbre connecté, aux allures d’œuvre d’art, dont les gigantesques feuilles sont des panneaux solaires. Ce mobilier urbain servira entre autre à recharger les portables ou les vélos électriques des citadins.
En mars prochain, le premier eTree de France sera planté place Carnot, à Nevers en région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Ce lieu de passage a été choisi en fonction de sa position stratégique. Car, cet arbre artificiel ne sera pas installé seulement pour embellir le paysage. Il a en effet de multiples fonctions.
Un arbre solaire…
Inventé par Sologic, “une entreprise franco-israëlienne sociale dont l’objectif est de promouvoir les innovations en faveur de l’environnement”, l’eTree est un projet écologique qui capte l’énergie solaire grâce à ses sept panneaux photovoltaïques. Ils peuvent produire jusqu’à 1 500 watts par heure, soit 7 kW par jour.
Haute de 4,5 mètres et lourde de 1,5 tonne, la structure crée ainsi assez d’énergie pour satisfaire cinq importants besoins : recharger les smartphones et tablettes, fournir un accès wifi libre et gratuit, illuminer son environnement la nuit, dispenser de l’eau fraîche et potable, ou encore connecter les utilisateurs du eTree dans le monde entier.

Déjà implanté depuis 2014 en Israël, aux Etats-Unis, et aux Émirats arabes unis, l’eTree s’était fait connaître en France au moment de la COP 21. Il avait été sélectionné et primé en tant qu’innovation écologique. Un exemplaire avait même été exposé sur le parvis de l’hôtel de ville de Paris.
Nevers sera donc le premier jardin français à l’accueillir durablement en raison d’un “partenariat de confiance“, rapporte Jérémie Nestel, chargé des innovations numériques à la Ville et à l’Agglomération, et de son caractère pilote.
Et Sologic ne compte pas s’arrêter en si bon chemin. La société envisage d’installer ses arbres technologiques partout dans le monde pour y faire régner une atmosphère de verdure, et de créativité chaleureuse."
