The Rock Creek Falls is located within the J.C. "Sonny" Gilbert Wildlife Management Area, a Louisiana state owned area. Access is free. Falls is year round, though best times are reported to be after heavy rains. Access hiking trail is listed as easy, it is only about 0.5 mile, but for an inexperienced hiker, the steep hill leading to the falls can be a challenge. Trail is well marked.
At 17 feet, it is the highest falls in the State of Louisiana.
Parking and trail head (same) coordinates are listed. The Area is free, but a LDWF State day stamp ($2.00 USD) is recommended, although that is mainly for hunting. Also recommend either avoiding area during hunting season, or make sure you are properly dressed with reflective easy to see gear.
